The room

Large bright room, just over 12 X 12 (156.5 square feet), with south

facing bay window, carpeted with built in closet.

 

The pad

Comfortable home in the Inner Mission at 22nd and Florida, bright and

sunny, clean and well maintained home, 1 bathroom with west facing

window, fully carpeted (not ideal I know…but clean) gas stove, big eat

in kitchen with lots of storage space, big open living room with west

facing bay window, back room/converted porch serves as communal work

space for computer desks, back garden (shared with other units though

no one uses it), washing lines. Sorry, no pets.

 

The housemate

Environmentalist, vegan, 41 year old gay male, morning person, rock

climber, cyclist. Work in an environmental non-profit.

Likes: cooking, eating good organic and local food, dinners with

friends, gardening outdoors & houseplants, chocolate, KPFA/BBC,

biking, hiking, backpacking, national parks/wilderness, community

gardens, Rainbow Grocery, farmer's markets.

Dislikes: TV, consumerism, smoking, drugs, heavy drinkers, cars

especially SUVs and Bummers, inconsiderate cellphone users.

 

The new housemate

Seeking Vegan or vegetarian (sorry no part timers please), into

environmentally conscious and healthy living, clean and tidy (common

areas) to join the home.

Prefer: someone close to my age (+/- 7 years or so); who is not into

loud partying; a morning person; social person who might want to share

a meal every so often or even on a regular basis; ideally does not

have a car and understands/is committed to the concept of a car free

society; has a full time job.

 

The other details

Rent: $750.00 plus utilities (gas and electricity $10 - $18/mo,

landline optional, DSL optional $12/month,).

Move-in cost: 1st month's rent plus 1 month deposit (will consider

splitting the deposit over 2 months)

Availability:1 August or 1 September.
