Hello,

I volunteer with rescued shelter rabbits and they were actually the

reason I became a vegetarian. My bunny loves his fresh herbs,

lettuces, and other greens, so I keep my fridge stocked with a variety

of things for him to try. He makes it look so much fun to eat these

things, and I've gotten much more enthusiastic about my vegetables

just because of his excitement! Additionally, rabbit poop is high in

nitrogen and is perfect for composting, or even sprinkling directly

around the base of my vegetable garden. I've had people offer to buy

my rabbit poop!

Rabbits are often overlooked at the shelter because people don't know

that spayed/neutered rabbits can be litter box trained and are clean,

social, indoor companions when properly cared for. They love to skip,

hop, spin, and race through the house at warp speed! They usually get

along great with dogs and cats, although they don't always do well

with children. Please consider saving a bunny life, and you will bring

so much joy into your life!

We currently have 17 rabbits at our shelter and need homes for these

bunnies! These rabbits are at-risk! Please email

rabbitlady.anna to find out more about the rabbits currently

up for adoption, or visit www.petfinder.com and use the zip code

95066. If you are interested in volunteering with shelter bunnies in

Santa Cruz, we would love your help. Please email me to find out more

about volunteering with these wonderful bunnies.

Thank you, Anna
