Guest guest
They are a chain of veg Indian restaurants all over the nation. 1007 l/2 Valencia (yes, l/2) cross street is 21st St, l/2 block from Herbivore. What I don't understand is, their red awning looks really old... Does anybody have any news? == Lunch Specials are very affordable meals. It will give you a chance to try the food at smaller portions... the following SF restaurants have lunch specials Golden Buddah M-F 11-4pm $6 Enjoy Tue-Friday ~$6 Golden Era (I think they do M-F ) Shangrila every day 11:30-3pm, $8 comes with soup, spring roll, rice, pickle salad They were nice enough to give me more soup in exchange for my spring roll. I gave them a big smile and extra tip. I am not sure if they will do it for you, but if I request a special service, I usually think it's right to give them extra tip... (some of us, like me are picky fussy eaters and if someone bends over backward for me, I want thank them ) Bok Choy NO longer have lunch specials. They no longer use hydro oil, just reg soy oil for all their foods now. They have been doing that for a long time now. I just found out today. sign, fussy eater, Winnie
Guest guest
Udupi opened last monday. I grabbed their take out menu, it didn't list their phone number Can someone find all the details, and create a new restaurant submission at Ultimate Guide? Tony M (Indian Veg) loves Undupi in Berkeley. His favorite soup is #11 Rasam. It is a very spicy soup that is also served in Undupi in Berkely. I remembered it VERY clearly, cause I suffered from eating the hot soup. In the Valencia restaurant the description for Rasam is Tangy Tamarind & Tomato Based Herbal Hot Soup. I will NOT order that soup again, but folks who love spicy soup should order it. The menu contains 25 types of DOSAs, (rice crepes). Oh, Oh, it's l/2 block from a restaurant called DOSA. IN terms of the old awning mystery. As I got closer to the red awning, I saw, they put a new RED sign OVER an OLD existing red awning. winnie , sunny outdoors <sunny_outdoors wrote: > > They are a chain of veg Indian restaurants all over the nation. 1007 l/2 Valencia (yes, l/2) cross street is 21st St, l/2 block from Herbivore. > What I don't understand is, their red awning looks really old...
