Macaroni and Cheese is one of her favorite comfort foods she has

cravings for. In fact, it's one of the items that made her gain back

her weight. (long time ago)

Maybe someone make vegan versions of her favorite foods.

News & Updates

Dear Friends,

Thanks to you, support for the Prevention of Farm Animal Cruelty Act

continues to grow. We're on a roll and we're gaining momentum. Thank

you for being part of this history-making campaign to end the cruel

and inhumane confinement of farm animals in California! We wanted to

share a few important updates with you…

Host a House Party! July 27th – 100 House Parties - 100 Days Out!

Join James Cromwell from the movie, Babe, and Mike Markarian, Vice

President of the Humane Society of the U.S. in a nationwide

conference call at 5:00 p.m. PST. This call will link the parties

together with important up-to-the-minute news about the campaign and

will give California voters a chance to help the campaign secure a

resounding victory for farm animals on November 4th! Invite your

friends, family, co-workers and neighbors! Energize them to Vote Yes

for Farm Animals and help raise money for the campaign!

You can help us make this program a success by signing up to host an

event now. It takes just a few minutes to sign up -- simply complete

one form and we'll automatically create an event web site just for

you. Simply visit our party site and click on " Host an Event " to sign

up now. Let's make July 27th a HUGE success for the animals!

We must raise enough money to be able to show California voters the

cruelty of tiny cages and crates through television advertisements

and urge them to VOTE YES! Click here to make a donation directly to

Californians for Humane Farms.

Fundraising Update: Some great opportunities for supporters to join.

* Party in San Francisco - VegNews rocks for farm animals! On

June 26, our friends at VegNews are throwing a party at the Electric

Works Gallery in San Francisco, with proceeds to benefit the

campaign. Check out the invite– and if you'll be in the Bay Area,

plan to attend.

* San Marcos Yard Sale - For those of you in the San Marcos area

there's a huge benefit yard sale on Saturday, June 21 (826 Applewilde

Drive, 92078). Stop by and support the campaign!

* Have an idea for a successful fund raiser? Please share it with

us!

Endorsement Update: We've received more than 1,000 endorsements so

far – thank you for all you've done to generate this support! It's

been a big week… the City of Santa Monica (thank you Valerie Belt and

Armaiti May, DVM), the State Humane Association of California, the

Organic Consumers Association and Richard Mouw, the President of

Fuller Seminary, plus 15 new family farmers endorsed the campaign.

And we're up to nearly 400 California veterinarians on board.

To see our full list of endorsements, Help this list

continue to grow! Please ask your veterinarian to endorse our

campaign. It's really important since voters with pets (little known

fact: more households have pets than children!) will likely ask their

veterinarian for an opinion on this initiative. Read the handy " Tips

for Getting Vet Endorsements " handout, download your endorsement

packet, and stop by your local vet's office today!

Featured Press: Thank you for all your letter-writing! Numerous

letters to the editor have been printed, including one by Armaiti

May, DVM, appearing in the Southern California Veterinary Medical

Association's newsletter. Read Dr. May's letter. The editors at the

Santa Barbara Press are supporting the initiative. We update the web

site's press page regularly – so be sure to check out all the other

great news.

Thanks again for all you're doing. Don't forget – if we can answer

any of your questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

It might be more helpful if someone taught her basic self-control. But

it's difficult for me to believe she has achieved her fame and fortune

without extraordinary self-discipline. My BS alarm is buzzing...
