Local group looking for contacts in other cities to help with national campaign launch

Hi all,

 

We are an animal rights group (Animal Defenders International) located in San Francisco, and we are about to expose serious animal abuse in nine U.S. circuses after several years of undercover work. We need volunteer help with the following in order to launch our " Stop Circus Suffering " campaign in New York, Las Vegas and Austin at the beginning of June:

 

* Organizing and attending a news conference the morning of June 3rd

* Helping to set up and fold chairs

* Creating posters or banners

* Notifying other animal rescue groups and local media

* Asking businesses to post flyers in their windows

* Reminding people to show up

* Distributing flyers and publications at the news conference

* Donating refreshments

* Donating temporary use of a DVD player and monitor

* Recommending animal-friendly media outlets

We’re also looking for ideas for a venue to hold a press conference and screen a film in San Francisco that is relatively close to media outlets.
