Guest guest
in the Temscal area, on Telegraph and around 30th Street (one block from Lane Splitter which has great vegan Riocota) There's a veg friendly KOrean restaurant that has 2 vegan entrees. the name of the restaurant is XXX Charchol Wood instead a small mall. (I will have the details later) $7 mixed veg over rice, have them take out the beef and egg $8 veg soup with noodles, ask them to make it vegan if we're lucky they might have complimenary vegan miso/seaweed soup that day. It was amazingly delicious. (if you are smart, hint to them the day before, a bunch of veggies would like the Soup Of the Day to be Vegan) the best part, the inexpensive lunch comes with 6 vegan HOMEMADE pickle appetizer with seaweed, etc. tell you would like the appetizers that have no, shrimp, fish (anchovies) There's no problems asking for 2nds, I usually give them a larger tip for their great service. They are friendly people. I find they are forgetful that I'm a vegetarian, since they are so used to their regular routine. They just remodeled their private room with burl wood tables. The private room can hold 20 people. It can also be a meeting room if the vegans can't stand the smell of grilled meat. (grilling is usually during dinner time) if you are interested in going with 1 hour or 1 day's notice, pls email me == some vegans can not tolerate a place like this, but most of my friends, family and co workers are meat eaters.. so think of it as another veg friendly place to go Having meat eating friends are not the best situation, but they are veg friendly people and tolerate to my " wonderful stubborn " veggie needs. Most of my vegan friends don't go out to eat .... winnie
