When my girlfriend ate meat or fish, before she eventually became my vegetarian wife, I would insist that she wash out her mouth before we kissed. don't know if that makes me or other vegetarians look bad, I hope not, but it did encourage my partner to become vegeatrian earlier than she otherwise might have because of it (though I can also see how this technique could easily go awry and break up a relationship). This issue comes up with smokers, too. I'd be interested in hearing what others have to say about this.
