Dear friends,

 

SFBAVEG is your list to discuss veganism, vegetarianism and animal rights.

As a courtesy to your fellow members, please be mindful of the most common

problems that cause posts to be unacceptable (per list posting guidelines):

 

1) Unsigned/anonymous: Not everyone has your email address memorized with

your name. Please sign your emails or put your name in your email header.

If you're not willing to sign your name to it, it can't be worth saying.

 

2) Unnecessarily long/convoluted replies: Cut it out! As a courtesy to

your fellow readers, especially those on digest, please eliminate

unnecessary original text in emails (it's such a waste when a reply is only

3 sentences long and the original text is 3 screens long, or contains

replies from 2 or 3 previous emails). In a digest, which is a compilation

of one day's messages, it's impossible to follow the discussion and

individual contributions.

 

Your volunteer admins (Karen, Doug, Chris, and Tammy) are no longer sending

individual courtesy emails; posts that meet the above qualifications may be

deleted without notice.

 

So, if you submitted a message but didn't see it published, please check

your " sent " folder to make sure you signed it and/or trimmed unnecessary

text in emails.

 

These actions are little, but they go a long ways towards keeping this list

as a useful and meaningful local community resource. So, please, take a

minute as you compose your emails.

 

!!!!! NOTE: not all messages are monitored, so you may see posts that don't

adhere to these guidelines posted. (If one of those posts belongs to you,

hello!!!!)
