Guest guest
Must be nice. I myself wouldn’t know what that was like; however, I can at least help you with yours! I was lucky enough to take part in an office lunch catered by Flaco’s vegan organic Mexican food. To summarize (not that I won’t write way too much later in the message): FABULOUS. http://www.flacos.com/ http://www.bayareaveg.org/ug/display.htm?id=245 Right now you can find Flaco’s at the East Bay farmer’s markets. While that is a delicious treat, I am writing to recommend their catering service. Flaco’s delivered the food on time, very generous portions, everything was neat and clean and steaming hot and fresh…and it was the best Mexican food I have ever had. The chef uses old-fashioned recipes from Mexico and veganizes them. I’m guessing most folks on this list eat veg-mex fairly often; it’s cheap, plentiful, and generally easy to get veg*n. Flaco’s takes it up a notch. Everything is made from scratch. Check out the menu on their web site. The spiced chocolate rice drink was heavenly. Icing on the cake: It’s organic and Antonio (not Banderas) (better looking than Banderas), the owner, was so careful when discussing ingredients. Did anyone in our party have a wheat allergy? Did we mind if one ingredient was non-GMO but not organic? Organic sugar or agave in the drink? Etc. It was nice to get careful vegan food like that, but not have it taste like sprouts and groats. Not that I have anything against sprouts and groats. If you have an event coming up, please consider giving your business to Flaco’s. Our office lunch was just 10 people but he can do large parties as well. I would also recommend it as great vegan food to serve carnivores. Thanks!
