Guest guest
> I would like to hear from people or Tammy on what our goal(s) for the group should be?Bay Area Vegetarians goals are to support, promote and build the veg*n community. :-) My biggest suggestion would be for people to get out and mingle with others at many of the events Bay Area Veg volunteers host every month: social events, advocacy events, educational events.... Not one in your area? Well, instead of writing ME to ask when it's happening, a better and more likely solution would be to make it happen by volunteering :-) The SFBAVEG list is here to facilitate communication amongst veg and animal rights people. I thought Jen's question was a good one, and I'm glad everyone was able to contribute. As to the style of communication and putting that information into context so email is not so impersonal: As you meet people and get to know them, it will help you gain insight into their emails and their viewpoints. I've met Jen a few times, know Winnie, spent a few weekends camping with Rob, leafleted with Mari, and Karen, Lisa, and Alex are all active volunteers within BAVeg. Bob Linden's writing style is just like his radio show style. For future reference, remember that English may not be everyone's first language, and that also has a factor in communication style.
