Guest guest
The discussion about vegan foods reminded me that Trader Joe's has a creme-cookie. I can't remember what it uses as a sweetener but TJ's lists its vegan products and includes the cookies. "For the love of wit (and a few other reasons), we’ve identified products free of all animal products and/or by-products including meat, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy, honey, gelatin, lanolin, confectioner’s glaze and carmine with the “V” (for Vegan). Our Vegan products include, but are not limited to" http://www.traderjoes.com/Attachments/Vegan.pdf Including a frozen apple strudel! And, they also have a vegan pizza (roasted vegetables) that I don't see ont he list. It's very similar to the Amy's roasted vegetable pizza but alot cheaper. I believe it is less than $4 whereas Amy's is closer to $8 for me at Safeway's. Cheers, Tammy Bay Area Vegetarianswww.BayAreaVeg.org
Guest guest
Thanks for your responses all. i was asking because its not always practical for me to go to trader joes or whole foods. i work in an office and we have a little cafe upstairs with a limited selection of treats. when i can escape my desk for a few minutes at some point during the day, if i am craving sweets, i only have a minute to run upstairs. its nice to know what common foods are vegan. theyve got a few good things. i was hoping to guiltlessly indulge in oreos in the future, but i guess its for the better. thanks again. -joelle On Jan 24, 2008 5:03 PM, Tammy, BAVeg <t wrote: > The discussion about vegan foods reminded me that Trader Joe's has a > creme-cookie.
