Guest guest
Hi folks, We have gotten recent requests for dining out events (particularly in SF). If you're interested in helping out, please let me know. This is a great opportunitity if you want to connect with other like-minded people, as well as support folks who are new to the Bay Area or new to vegetarianism. Please see the next two links for more info; the first provides good information about event hosting while the next explains abit more about the group and our background. http://www.bayareaveg.org/guidelines.htmhttp://bayareaveg.org/about.htm We are a pretty informal group, in that we don't have regular meetings nor do we require paid memberships. But we DO need volunteers. Much appreciation to our wonderful volunteers Sara, Alicia, Dana, Andrew, Collin, Sharon, Carol, Melissa, & Lisa who organize events regularly for BAVeg. Chris and I, who co-founded Bay Area Veg in 2001, are still pretty active in the group. In addition to all the back office support for BAVeg, Chris hosts a lunch in Silicon Valley and I organize different events like lunches, leafleting, Food for Thought book club, etc. If you have questions about what it's like to host an event for BAVeg, or have an idea for a new regular event (social or advocacy), please let us know .. I will be in attendance at the below events and am always open to talking to people about being more active in BAVeg and helping us grow and support the local veg community.
