Guest guest
I was just reminded that Team Vegan training is for either a 10k (6 miles) or half marathon (13.1 miles). I have mostly been talking about the half marathon distance, so new runners weren’t hearing the shorter 10k option and for that I apologize. Marathon Matt trains people for both. Note: Many Bay Area veg*ns have let me know that they’re joining Team Vegan, but they have not actually registered. We need to know how many registrants we have for the t-shirts, etc, so please register as soon as you can! http://www.active.com/event_detail.cfm?EVENT_ID=1499976 & CHECKSSO=1 & RESET=0 The meet-and-greet dinner at All About Herbs (tomorrow night) has been rescheduled. It will now be held on Wednesday night January 23rd. Too many folks couldn’t make this week. If you’re new to running and you want to ask how in the heck Marathon Matt can get you to (happily) run 6 miles, or if you’re a seasoned marathoner and you want to improve your PR—Matt will be at this dinner to answer questions about his training methods and Team Vegan. Thank you! Alex Team Vegan http://www.active.com/donate/teamvegan p.s. If you’re a couch potato looking for inspiration, check this out: http://www.marathonmovie.com/home.html And: http://www.drmcdougall.com/free_4e.html I like the “more energy” and “better mood” reasons the best, but they’re all pretty great.
