Guest guest
"I figure it's okay to eat meat because it's already dead when I buy it" explained a young woman who visited the Bay Area Veg booth at SF Pride in June 2007. I was so nonplussed by this statement that I asked Warren, with whom she was talking, to write to down for me and I have it on my bulletin board at home to remind me that is why I am involved in veg outreach. Eating animals is so culturally ingrained that people literally do not think about "it". We are going to be posting a new date for our New Year's leafleting (either 1/12 or 1/13) that was rained out on Saturday. We would also like to get a LOT more people leafleting throughout the year -- BART stations are great spots, people are always looking for interesting things to read on their commute home. Because of where I live, I'll always tend to leaflet in SF. If you'd like to see more activity in East Bay, South Bay or other areas, please email me if you can participate or help organize.
