Guest guest
Hi everyone: My husband and I have 3 cats (2 brother and sister (7yrs) and 1 orange tabby (2.5yrs)). The orange tabby's (Buster) aggression keeps getting worse and worse. The other 2 are extremely sweet. In Chicago, I was know to save stray cats and find homes. I know a lot about introducing cats and some behavioral problems. But Buster keeps getting worse and worse. In Chicago, we saw 4 vets who did tests and found nothing wrong and gave advice that wasn't able to help. We have tried to locate a vet here in SF. But the 5 places I had contacted will not take new patients. We went to one vet, it was dirty, got decent reviews on yelp, but he was no help either. I have left a VM for SPCA to help. I have even been in contact with Morris the cats trainer a couple times too. Her advice wasn't able to help either. I would love to talk to someone live about him. Tried: 1. water bottles - he finds them, bites through them so we cant use them. 2. separation and time outs - he learned to open doors. One door we put 15 lb weight in front of - he still opened it. 3. Treats when good, ignoring when bad. 4. calming sprays - I personally didn't want to use them, but I had to try everything. 5. vet tests - nothing found yet. 6. more exercise - he can play for hours on end and not get tired. this cat is really smart and kind of has super powers 7. Removed from areas he typically is aggressive. The problem: 1. Buster will attack us for no reason. 2. He attacks our other male cat - and Owen will scream out in pain. We run to separate. 3. We have had to separate Buster from the other cats. But he has learned to open doors when we are gone. 4. Plays aggressive and Stalking ,etc. What I'm looking for as we love him dearly: 1. A SF vet that is good and takes new patients - preferably in SF. 2. Any experts that wouldn't mind talking to me to help. He can be really sweet sometimes and then he just flips. Thanks everyone!
