Guest guest
I am very happy to announce that the PETA Foundation Oakland office is now open and looking for qualified applicants for three positions. This office creates and implements PETA’s fundraising campaigns including online, direct mail, telemarketing, and major gift programs. We also coordinate activities with development support services such as database marketing/analytics and member services. Current open positions: Online Fundraising Data Analyst Online Fundraising Creative Assistant Development Department Assistant You can find more information at the PETA jobs page: http://www.peta.org/about/jobs.asp (look under “PETA Foundation Positions”). While the new office is here in the Bay Area, Human Resources is still based at PETA Headquarters in Norfolk, VA and applicants must start the process via HQ. Candidates should submit their resumes along with job title to: jobopenings. While you’re checking out the local positions, I hope you’ll take a minute to look at ALL the PETA and PETAF positions. If you know any dedicated, energetic people who want to actively change the world for animals…encourage them to apply! Norfolk is a great place to live. Affordable, veg-friendly, and people-friendly. And don’t worry if you’re not the “street activist” type. PETA staff is made up of people from 18 years old (working with PETA2 youth) to my wonderful colleague Steve, A PhD who was retired after a successful career but decided to jump back into work to help animals. Here are a couple of blog posts about working for PETA and/or living in Norfolk: http://blog.peta.org/archives/2007/10/help_wanted.php http://blog.peta.org/archives/2007/12/10_best_meals_i.php Thanks!
