Guest guest
Thu, 27 Dec 2007 15:02:42 -0800 I’m a reporter at the Chronicle, working on a story about zoos and how people feel about them in general. Do you think you could send a note to some of your animal liberation subsribers and see if anyone local would be willing to talk? Thanks. --- Leslie Fulbright / Staff Writer / San Francisco Chronicle p:415-777-8306 / f:415-543-6926 / www.sfgate.com

I haven't listened, but there is a podcast with reader comments about zoos on sfgate. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/sfgate/detail?blogid=5 & entry_id=23000 Here's some snippets showing the diversity of comments Why are people still suppporting zoos by paying to see animals locked in cages... under the pretence of teaching all of us about animals or for the animals well survial. as well as All this talk about how horrible zoos are... what a crock ! Animals in zoos eat better, more nutritious food than many humans in our own country. Animals in zoos are provided with enrichment activities to prevent the kind of boredom and ennui which many of the posts here seem to beleive all zoo animals are afflicted with. Comments are open for anyone to post on http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/sfgate/detail?blogid=5 & entry_id=23000 Tammy Bay Area Vegetarianswww.BayAreaVeg.org
