Guest guest
I was having dinner with some friends and this came up ... about the monks at Mepkin Abbey phasing out their egg production ... It's good news -and- I was happy to have played my own (small) part by writing a letter on this topic at one of the Sundaes & Advocacy events. It's always hard to know what effect our actions have .. but I do feel quite strongly that if we are inactive, then none of these changes would happen. So I hope more people will get involved in Making a Difference for the Animals. The next opportunities for a letter writing party (LWP)j will be in January 2008, in the East Bay and in SF at MaggieMudd's. And, yes, you don't need to go anywhere special to write a letter -- you can write them at home. But, if there's too many distractions at home and you don't actually write any at all, then you may find the LWPs are a good fit for you! Cheers, Tammy I don't understand why asking people to eat a well-balanced vegetarian diet is considered drastic, while it is medically conservative to cut people open and put them on cholesterol-lowering drugs for the rest of their lives. - Dean Ornish, M.D. Upcoming BAVeg Events: 12/29 Make 2008 The Year of ALL Animals!
