Guest guest
Hi Eveyrone, I have to share someone's wonderful tip which she sent me privatily, so I will delete her name out of respect for her privacy, however, I had to share her ideas below. Again, thanks so much for this great BayAreaVeg Org List (and PS: I have been active on the ballot iniatitve signature petition gathering and recommend it to everyone to at least give it a try. It has been most rewarding to take part in this very important work. Hopefully it will make it on the ballot which will cause a huge big discussion everywhere too). And below are the excellent resources just shared with me regarding how to donate to impoverished third world countries with the least sacrificing of animals, and better yet, none at all, My plan is to donate to Doctors Without Borders. They have been giving out this product called Plumpynut in areas of high malnutrition. Plumpynut is a highly fortified peanut butter. It has milk in it, but vegetarian is better than nothing. My older family members are really concerned about world hunger, so I'm probably going to donate to DWB (MSF) in their names for the holidays. Also, Animal Place has more suggestions on this page: http://www.animalplace.org/1newweb/heifer.html.
