We'll have lots of great holiday cheer without worrying about whether something is vegan or not. Now that is something to be thankful for! If it is a chilly day, we might have a fire in the fireplace, maybe even roast vegan marshmallows after the feast if anyone can find some...? And if you feel like it, we can share a few tales of why we are thankful this year. If you've never been to one of our Vegan Food Parties, you can click here for more information on what vegan food is, and what you need to bring. In addition to being kind to animals, let's also be kind to Mother Earth. Please plan on bringing your own reusable place setting, cup and serving utensil for your dish. And remember to bring an ingredient list or recipe for your dish! Here are some vegan ideas for what to bring. - Tofurky - Mashed potatoes and gravy (creamy country gravy, from the Tofurky box, you can add mushrooms!) - Stuffing - Broccoli - Squash - Cranberry sauce (try soaking and blending organic dried cranberries with a little agave nectar.) - Rice or risotto - Home baked bread (with raisins?) - Pumpkin pie - apple or blueberry crumble We recommend, of course, thinking global and shopping local (searching for in-season locally grown produce whenever possible...)
