Guest guest
1. Read this blog, and watch the video: http://blog.peta.org/archives/2007/11/good_night_tex_1.php 2. Drive down early, or stay late, so you can eat here: http://www.bayareaveg.org/ug/display.htm?id=750 and here: http://www.bayareaveg.org/ug/display.htm?id=158 That's actually three reasons, and since you got one extra reason for free, you should meet and support Judie just to say thanks for the extra reason. Seriously--this is worth the time. This bill could/ literally/ change the world for cats and dogs--if it happens in California it would be much easier to bring about in other states, and this country's disgusting overpopulation problem could finally be solved. Wouldn't it be marvelous to see one of the biggest animal issues in the world get taken care of, right now, in our lifetimes? Judie is willing to be the person taking all the heat, she deserves support! Alex ------- Meet Judie Mancuso Mon, 12 Nov 2007 18:21:23 -0800 (PST) Lisa Towell <lisa.towell Judie Mancuso, the campaign director for AB 1634 (the California Healthy Pets Act) will be in Santa Cruz this Friday, November 16 from 5pm to 8pm. AB 1634 (which has already been approved by the state Assembly) would require most dogs and cats to be spayed or neutered, in a effort to reduce the large numbers of pets euthanized in animal shelters in California (almost half a million animals every year!) This bill is an incredibly important one for the animals. If passed into law, it could place California at the forefront of the effort to address the problem of unwanted pets dying daily in animal shelters. Judie, a long-time animal rescuer, has been the driving force behind this bill from the beginning, and has LOTS to say on the topic of spay/neuter. Come on down this Friday and meet Judie in person! The Santa Cruz SPCA is hosting this event--check out their website for more information or to RSVP: http://www.santacruzspca.org/ <http://www.santacruzspca.org/> If you'd like to know more about the bill itself, go to: www.cahealthypets.com <http://www.cahealthypets.com> -Lisa Towell ------ Never miss a thing.
