Guest guest
Judie Mancuso, the campaign director for AB 1634 (the California Healthy Pets Act) will be in Santa Cruz this Friday, November 16 from 5pm to 8pm. AB 1634 (which has already been approved by the state Assembly) would require most dogs and cats to be spayed or neutered, in a effort to reduce the large numbers of pets euthanized in animal shelters in California (almost half a million animals every year!) This bill is an incredibly important one for the animals. If passed into law, it could place California at the forefront of the effort to address the problem of unwanted pets dying daily in animal shelters. Judie, a long-time animal rescuer, has been the driving force behind this bill from the beginning, and has LOTS to say on the topic of spay/neuter. Come on down this Friday and meet Judie in person! The Santa Cruz SPCA is hosting this event--check out their website for more information or to RSVP: http://www.santacruzspca.org/ If you'd like to know more about the bill itself, go to: www.cahealthypets.com -Lisa Towell Never miss a thing.
