No Vigil at UCSF this month...Lawsuit/Dogs at UCSF...Police Harassment

Dear Advocates for Animals: No Vigil for Month of November (plan to resume in December)...Vigil Meeting There will be no Vigil at UCSF this month - mainly because of what I consider harassment by UCSF police during last month's vigil. There is a plan to meet to discuss the matter of police harassment and how to deal with it. If anyone would like to attend such a meeting, please contact me for more information (by e-mail, vigilforanimals or phone 415-751-3756). Lawsuit/Dogs at UCSF My lawsuit against UCSF - which we (my attorney and I) are attempting to settle out of court - to get more information about the university's (ab)use of dogs - is still yet to be resolved. The university has successfully stonewalled me in giving me information

about what they are doing to dogs under six different research protocols. My original request on this is well over a year old - which clearly points to UCSF's administrative stonewalling and ineptitude on the matter. Still I plan to continue to distribute the attached leaflet - despite it having rather dated information - whenever and wherever I can - not just at the Vigil once a month. I hope you will download the leaflet/attachment. I try to remember to carry a few leaflets with me when I am about the city, and hand out to persons who have companion canines with them.
