Guest guest
We went to a sneak peak this week and thought the movie was a pretty good look at food production in this country. It will be playing at the Red Vlc in SF and Shattuck in Berkeley this week. At the post-movie discussion afterwards, the filmmakers were mentioning that the Farm Bill is up for vote in the Senate next week & both Boxer and Feinstein seem on the fence with their vote. He encouraged everyone to contact them to vote for the FRESH act--which would reduce farm subsidies to farmers of only a few, mostly unhealthy crops, & pay for improvements in the food stamp program.
