Guest guest
Dear friends, Please join us for a special book signing with longtime Bay Area animal activists Erin E. Williams and Margo DeMello, authors of the new book, Why Animals Matter: The Case for Animal Protection. Released in August, Why Animals Matter examines how people abuse animals, gives suggestions on how to take action—and connects animal protection, environmental and social justice issues. It is chock-full of detailed information combined with uplifting rescue stories, and ultimately shows why the exploitation of animals should matter to all people. On Sunday, October 7, the authors will be discussing and signing books from 1:00-4:00 at Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary, 14741 Wing Levee Road in Stockton. Harvest Home was formed to aid homeless and abused domestic and farmed animals in the San Francisco Bay Area and the San Joaquin valley. Free vegan food will be available, and you’ll be able to meet the animals! Book proceeds will benefit Harvest Home.
