Guest guest
Many animals raised for food cannot walk. Chickens who lay eggs are crammed into cages so small that they don't have space to lift one wing, much less walk. Pigs and veal calves are confined in narrow pens. The SF Walk for Farm Animals helps fund Farm Sanctuary’s rescue and protection campaigns. "Animals are Friends, not Food" is the team name for Bay Area Vegetarians. All funds go directly to Farm Sanctuary (Bay Area Vegetarians is participating as a team in the event; we do not receive any funding from this effort.) It is good to know that even though i can't join you, i can still support your efforts to help out Farm Sanctuary! If anyone is in the South Bay that day and isn't traveling for this great event, please considering joining me to collect signatures for the initiative at the San Jose Pumpkin Festival.
