Guest guest
Last week, 9,825 copies of Vegan Outreach material were distributed across California. Seventeen schools and two events in thirteen cities were covered by seven individuals. See the list at the end of the email for the specifics. Particularly noteworthy this past week was Stewart S’s efforts. Stewart, a high school teacher and father of three in Southern California, took two days off from work to leaflet at three colleges as they started for the fall semester. He reached an amazing 5,590 students in those two days, including an incredible 4,750 students on Thursday the 20th! Stewart’s accomplishment is incredible. But it’s not necessary to hand out thousands of booklets a day to make a large personal impact: every leaflet distributed is one more person exposed to the brutal reality of life for farmed animals; each conversation with a friend, relative, colleague or neighbor about the death inherent in the dairy industry is one more person armed with the knowledge to make a difference. Each of these interactions is another step towards ending the exploitation of animals. Over the course of a lifetime, these steps add up, making great change possible. But it’s important to take that step each day. I am leafleting throughout Northern California. If you would like to join this ongoing education effort, contact me and I'll let you know when I'll be in your area. Or, if you'd like to strike out on your own, contact me and I'll give you all the information you need to get started. I hope to hear from you; only when we all wield our personal power and speak up against oppression will there be meaningful change for the lives of non-human animals. Together, we can effect great change in this world in this lifetime. “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Victor Tsou Vegan Outreach http://veganhealth.org/colleges 9/17 Del Mar High School (San Jose) – 9 EI – Victor Tsou Evergreen Valley College (San Jose) – 200 EI – Victor Tsou Independence High School (San Jose) – 108 EI – Victor Tsou Lincoln High School (San Jose) – 27 EI – Victor Tsou San Jose City College (San Jose) – 400 EI – Victor Tsou 9/18 Ohlone College (Fremont) – 700 EI – Victor Tsou 9/19 CSU Fullerton (Fullerton) – 840 WV – Stewart S CSU Sacramento (Sacramento) – 124 EI – Brian G Folsom Lake College (Folsom) – 191 EI – Brian G, Roxanne Gunn High School (Palo Alto) – 12 EI – Miranda R, Victor Tsou Stanford University (Stanford) – 728 EI – Miranda R, Victor Tsou 9/20 Cal Poly Pomona (Pomona) – 2,700 WV – Stewart S CSU Los Angeles (Los Angeles) – 2,050 WV – Stewart S Gavilan College (Gilroy) – 400 EI – Victor Tsou Gilroy High School (Gilroy) – 150 EI – Victor Tsou UC San Francisco (San Francisco) – 600 EI – Sue Rattenbury 9/21 Franklin High School (Elk Grove) – 111 WV – Brian G San Francisco Heart Walk (San Francisco) – 325 WV – Sue Rattenbury 9/23 Joss Stone/James Blunt Concert (San Francisco) – 150 TV – Alex B, Jack Norris EI = Even If You Like Meat TV = Try Vegetarian WV = Why Vegan ______________________________\ ____ Be a better Globetrotter.
