I heard an interview on VegCast with James Cromwell, the actor, in

which he talked about the making of movies with veg*n themes. It wasn't

a long interview but it got me thinking that someone could make a great

feature film with a veg*n theme. I don't mean a documentary or an

animated movie for kids, but an adult drama. The veg*n theme could be

somewhat secondary to the story and therefore, perhaps, not scare off

producers. It could still stimulate interest in veg*nism. With so much

interest in human rights, environment and health, I can't help thinking

the time is ripe for such a film. I know nothing about the industry but

I would love to be part of a discussion about the possibility of such

an undertaking. I'm sure there's been lots of discussion but where to

find it?

Great thinking.

Actually there is a veg film festival

outta New Zealand. vegetarianfilmfest.org.nz

And when I lived in LA. someone was

attempting a veg motion picture crew

list, not sure of its current contact

info, but if you're interested in

brainstorming a project then so am I.

Check out the movie Year of the Dog with Mollie Shannon, which Ibelieve was released earlier this year. You can find out informationabout the movie on www.yearofthedogmovie.com.

Idon't want to give too much away, but dogs andve*ganasim are involved, mostly in a good way. I found it very entertaining, and while hercharacter was a little quirky, I thought overall it was a great movie. Iwould recommend it.

Jennifer
