New KFC in Mountain View? Neighbors think that stinks.

From the Sept. 14 Mountain View Voice: (my summary)

 

Neighbors are against plans to put a drive-through KFC where the old

Austin's BBQ was (El Camino at Mariposa) because 1. it's tacky 2. it

stinks and 3. it doesn't use green business practices.

 

The bad news is, KFC already owns the property. The good news is, the

mayor and the zoning administrator are questioning whether yet another

fast food place is needed on El Camino. Apparently Los Angeles is

limiting the number of new fast food places because of health issues.

 

If you live in Mountain View (I don't), now's a good time to let your

opinion be heard.--Candace
