RE: Excellent Vick case commentary relates to animal hypocrisy

I wonder if Michael Vick had been arrested for cock fighting if there would have been as much as an outcry. I certainly hope so! But, anyways, I think it's good that the issue of animal cruelty receives attention and discussion, and that people are extending attention to include other animals besides those we commonly pet.

I don't think so.

Just look at the outcry over bullfighting.

 

There's a reason why we think it's OK to eat a pig or

a cow, but taboo to eat a dog or a cat. Those we pet

are somehow at a higher level than those we eat.
