Hey everyone,

 

Just a quick note to let people know I joined the milo foundation,

which just opened an office in Marin. (www.milofoundation.org). In

addition to their marin office, they have a 280 acre sanctuary for

animals up in mendocino county near Willits.

 

If you live in Marin and would like to help foster or volunteer your

time and energy, please let me know. We need help with animal care,

fostering, mobile adoption days, and much, much more.

 

Also, there is an ongoing wish list for the sanctuary...If you have

any of these items to donate, please let me know!

 

I'm thinking of scheduling a weekend workgroup up at the sanctuary in

late september or early October, going up on saturday morning,

returning sunday evening...to do some repair work on the cat house,

build another dog pen, and just help out with animal feeding and

care. There is a skeletal crew up there (we are hiring!) and they

need some help. Please email me if you're interested.

2. ATV (All Terrain Vehicles), four wheelers, mule gator, Subaru-

`Brat and other small 4 wheel drive; sturdy vehicles.

3. Electirc vehicles and golf carts (for quieter lighter work load

in the main compound area.

4. Fence panels and farm gates and other large animal equipment

5. Feed and water troughs.

6. Four wheel pick-up truck; any size, make, model that is in good

working condition.

7. Log splitters.

8. Exercise pens

9. Grooming supplies: professional grade/high end clippers, brushes

combs and rakes of all kinds.

10. 25 foot water hoses.

11. Big piles of sand for cat sandboxes

12. Canopies and shade cloth for sun protection

13. Veterinary walk-on scale

14. Water troughs and little pools for dogs to play in the water
