Guest guest
Tuesday evening, Miranda and I leafleted for an hour outside the Oakland Arena after the evening Oakland A's game. We leafleted with the DVD player; however, due to the large numbers of young children in the audience, we will not use the video in the future after baseball games. This is a great demographic for leafleting; there are many young adults in attendance. As expected, there was a higher throw-out rate than our street leafleting outings; we kept the litter to a minimum by picking up leaflets during lulls in the crowd. We had a few good conversations with attendees, including one man who was very interested in what we were showing despite his wife's insistent cries of " oh, they're vegetarians. " I'd expect Giant's games at AT & T Park to be similarly conducive to leafleting. For those interested in video leafleting, I purchased the following model for just over $100: http://www.amazon.com/Coby-TF-DVD7050-Portable-Tablet-Style-Player/dp/B0009TQB00 We'll see you in the streets.
