Guest guest
Hi folks I know there are a huge number of people on the list who are new to veg*nism, new to the Bay Area, or simply new to our group, Bay Area Vegetarians. I have personally met many wonderful people through the veg community, and I have heard testimonials from others who have also made developed great friendships from people they met at events. Please, don't be shy about checking out events and attending the ones that look interesting to you. Or, if there's not an event in your community, then organize one! Really, it's as simple as that. I always think it's crazy when I met people who are vegetarian and complain that none of their friends are vegetarian. If that's your situation, I would encourage you to bring your friends and join us, or join us to make new friends, at an upcoming BAVeg event. There are all types of BAVeg events every month, from social events to advocacy events, all throughout the Bay Area. You can find them all on our website event calendar ( http://bayareaveg.org/events ). Upcoming events include: 08/14 Happy Bamboo dinner - San Jose 08/19 Outreach at Stern Grove Music Festival - SF 08/19 KFC Cruelty Protest - SF 08/19 Sundaes and Advocacy - SF 08/19 Central Vegetarian Dinner (NEW Monthly event) - Alameda 08/29 Garden Fresh Vegan Dinner - Mountain View 08/30 Marin Vegan Food & Fellowship Dinner - San Rafael And, we also have a list of other local groups on our website - http://bayareaveg.org/resources.htm Cheers, Tammy Bay Area Vegetarianswww.BayAreaVeg.org
