Guest guest
After reading The China Study, I had a thought about the high costs that corporations pay for medical benefits for their employees. I was thinking that if more employees were veg, they would have better health, which should reduce medical benefit premiums, less sick days, and increase productivity too since eating veg food doesn't leave you feeling as sluggish after eating a heavy, artery-clogging animal-based lunch. With the obvious financial benefit to corporations, they could be the one providing more veg meals in their company cafeterias, promoting healthy eating in messages to their employees, etc. It just seems that with corporations being so profit-driven, that showing them a way to reduce their expenses should be of interest to them. But I am not aware of any group currently working this angle. If anyone has more info on this, please let me know. Guest guest
There is a telecommunications company with a free, all vegan cafeteria. Not sure if this in an idea that will spread, but it gives me hope! http://www.usatoday.com/money/companies/2004-10-31-vegeteria_x.htm?csp=26 & RM_Exc\ lude=Juno _______________ Puzzles, trivia teasers, word scrambles and more.
