Guest guest
This is a good article about the bees who are forced to work to produce honey and to pollinate crops. This is good information to have when someone is interested in why vegans don’t eat honey. It’s a long and thorough article that addresses the recent bee die-offs that are scaring big agriculture. Here’s an excerpt: “Meanwhile, commercial beekeeping has come to resemble other kinds of factory farming. While the bees themselves retain more freedom of movement than almost any other living creature raised by man, a commercial bee lot is more like a cattle feed lot than a wild meadow.” The full article is here: http://www.alternet.org/environment/59426/?page=1.
