To confirm Bobby Singh's earlier email, New Resource Bank indeed is a great, ethical bank. I just got the below reply from the wonderful founder, Peter Liu. (I recall seeing him featured in the newspapers last year.) I'm sure if people in the AR community all over the country wish to switch banks, they could, by wiring. Please feel free to pass on the info if you think it's a good idea. The bank's website is http://www.newresourcebank.com/ As Bobby mentioned earlier, you can go to any ATM to get cash and have the charge refunded 10 times per month, or unlimited times depending on how much you have combined in your account(s). The website also states that the bank is a member of the FDIC. Thanks for introducing us to the bank, Bobby! Below is the reply I got today from Mr.

Peter Liu: ----------- Michelle Thank you for asking. I am the founder of New Resource Bank. 1. We don't have any investment in industries that use animals for testing. 2. We do not invest in the petroleum industry. We have made loans to solar power companies and companies that market renewable energy. Our investment are in the form of loans. We do offer specialized programs for green projects and green businesses and our clients include some of the leaders in the organic, green building and clean energy sectors. As a condition of our banking charter, we do have to serve our community at large and not just green businesses. However, our community clients are all small to medium size local businesses that do not engage in

environmentally damaging practices. We some times help them find ways to green their business and take the "green" to the community. I hope this answers your questions. Feel free to email again if you want to know more. Best Peter

Liu
