Guest guest
(this is what i wrote to the owners of that flexpetz.com website) Hi. I am an animal lover and i couldn't help feeling a major pang of disdain while looking at your website. Renting out dogs in my opinion, is just cruel. This is not taking into account the needs of the animal at all, and is profiting off of and propelling our consumerist culture's selfish pattern of taking whatever we want and disposing of it as soon as we are finished with little regard for the repercussions. Dogs are extremely loyal animals that can recognize their " owners " from over 500 feet away, and can learn to communicate quite well with the people they are closest to. They are quite sensitive beings, and can become easily damaged psychologically from abuse, or neglect or jealousy over another animal or child joining their home. This is testament to their ability to grow attached to their environment, and the other humans and animals they share it with. In the wild, dogs travel in packs and defend one another. One of the most basic behaviors of dogs, the way that they urinate on things surrounding their home, is part of their desire by instinct to mark their territory. One of the cruelest things you can do to a dog, is move it from place to place never allowing it to form a " pack " or have a " territory " . I hope you realize what a bad idea this is and decide to run some other kind of, less exploitative, industry, and if not, i hope you have some good doggy psychologists on hand ready to counteract what you are about to create. Sincerely yours, joelle
