Guest guest
Hello, I work in the Financial District/Union Square area in downtown San Francisco and I crave tasty and inexpensive vegan sandwiches with fake meat slices, vegan mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. My idea is to see if a local sandwich shop would start carrying these items, and even if a cheap deli would start carrying a vegan sandwich. While I'd rather not patronize a deli that sells meat, it would be great for people to see vegan sandwiches on a menu at a place like this. Lee's Deli is around the corner, and I was looking at their website and saw that they have a feedback area. So, I submitted the feedback below. Thoughts? CB ******* Posted to Feedback at Lee's Deli website (leesdeli.com) Dear Lee: Two things I would love in your deli: 1) Tofurky slices - www.tofurky.com/products/delislices.htm (original is best) 2) Veganaise or Spectrum Organics Eggless Vegan Mayo - www.followyourheart.com/vegenaise.php or www.spectrumorganics.com/?id=57 3) Veggie Bacon - www.lightlife.com/bacona.html If you start offering vegan sandwiches with these items, I will rave about you on Yelp!! These are delicious and beautiful sandwiches, and I haven't found any delis in San Francisco make them. Vegetarians in San Francisco are well-connected via the web and are always on the prowl for inexpensive, good food, fast service, and vegan options. Two DREAM vegan sandwiches would be: 1) Tofurky sandwich with veganaise, lettuce, tomatoes, mustard, avocado 2) VLT - veggie bacon, lettus, tomatoes with veganaise. Thanks!
