If you were eating a really unhealthy diet beforehand then I suspect your body is just taking this chance of throwing off all the toxins it can and these can circulate in the bloodstream and give you headaches etc. If you eat boiled rice and barley this will remove the toxins from the body. I think normally people either don't notice any difference in the way they feel or they feel a lot more healthy. Have you checked to see that you are eating food that gives you all the nutrients you need? You could also take a multivitamin/mineral supplement as an insurance, as I do. Vitamin C at about 1 to 2 grams a day would also help if you feel that your body is taking this chance to detox.
