Guest guest
Any resolution on caged birds should include the horrible overcrowded conditions in the live animal markets that are equally as bad as any factory farm in Petaluma. In fact, thousands of those chickens come to SF to be sold in Chinatown. I’ve seen them with their legs tied up, grabbed by their wings, and thrust head first into plastic bags. Many other species of birds suffer equally. The Animal Control and Welfare Commission needs to address the needs of the animals within our city equally as well as encouraging city stores to not buy/sell factory farm chickens.
