Guest guest
I suffer from seasonal allergies and I've found taking local bee pollen helps alleviate my symptoms....the only problem is this is not vegan and I try to live completely vegan. What are some opinions on using bee pollen from sustainable, organic bee hives from local farmers (and where the bees are unharmed) as oppose to taking over the counter medicine like Claritan? Thanks--Jess
Guest guest
I don't know about the ethical treatment of bees at organic honey farms, but I've found the most effective treatment for my seasonal allergies is doing a nasal saline rinse. There's a company called Neil Med that makes them. It's a little akward at first, but once you get used to it it's easy.I was able to totally go off drugs just by shooting warm, salty water through my sinuses. (Hope no one is reading this during lunch.)
