Guest guest
During a discussion on the list last month, an opinion was offered but prefaced with the qualifer "With all due respect (though I'm sure I'll get attacked for writing this...)" "Attacked" is a very strong word suggesting strong, hurtful responses have been received from other SFBAVEG users. Folks, this is not acceptable. We're a diverse group, with diverse opinions. And, SFBAVEG is a common resource that we all share, and we need to be respectful -- and polite -- of varying opinions and experiences. SFBAVEG is a community resource designed to support and promote the vegetarian community, not used as a vehicle to belittle or be mean to others. Please, let's keep this a friendly place for everyone, including vegans & vegetarians, new & aspiring veg*ns, activists, folks new to the Bay Area -- everyone who is looking for support and fellowship for veg*nism. As a reminder, SFBAVEG does have specific usage guidelines in place, which, in part, advise that individuals who "harass other list members" may have their privileges suspended. So, please think twice before you write someone a mean email -- even if you think they deserve it. And, if you've been on the receiving end of mean emails, if you suspect this person may be making a habit of this towards others as well, please bring it to our attention by sending an email to your team of volunteer list admins. -owner Thanks, Karen, Doug, Chris, and Tammy SFBAVEG List Admins Bay Area Vegetarianswww.BayAreaVeg.org "Veg*ns are like magnets.
