Lama Kunzang studied for 13 years under Kyabje Dodrupchen Rinpoche and is considered his heart son. Lama did a three year retreat under the guidance of Chatral Rinpoche. Lama Kunzang is the abbot of 4 monasteries and hundreds of monks in Bhutan and India. He is the founder of Jangsa Animal Saving Trust.Saving Animals & Promoting VegetarianismSome bulls who were about to be killed escaped from the slaughterhouse. The terrified animals ran to Lama Kunzang's monastery and refused to leave. Overwhelmed by compassion, Lama Kunzang decided that from that day forward that he would protect these bulls and all other animals that he could from being killed.Lama Kunzang began Jangsa Animal Saving Trust to protect animals & promote vegetarianism. Jangsa's 6 sanctuaries in Bhutan & India protect about 800 animals from slaughter. In the Bhutanese capital, Jangsa tore down a slaughterhouse and built a large shrine to Buddha Shakyamuni in it's place.Jangsa is preparing books, comics, films, vegetarian cookbooks, etc, to convince people in Bhutan, India, and Sikkim to save animals and stop eating meat. The Queen Mother of Bhutan & the Chief Abbot of Bhutan support Lama Kunzang's efforts to save animals & promote vegetarianism.Learn more about Lama Kunzang Dorjee & Jangsa Animal Saving Trust:AnimalSavingTrust.orgInvite Lama Kunzang Dorjee to teach.
