Central Vegetarian Cuisine now open in Alameda

I second George's positive experience at Central Vegetarian Cuisine. I, too, enjoyed my meal there, and have added a review on the Ultimate Guide. Just for the record, while it is true that one of the owners (the mom) used to cook at Golden Lotus, this restaurant is not associated with the Buddhist sect of devotees of Suma Ching Hai, which has connections to Golden Lotus/Era, Asiana Garden, and New World Vegetarian Restaurant. For some this is an issue, for others not at all. I include it here for those who have a position on that affiliation one way or the other. It is an independent family enterprise. Their cooking does include onion and garlic, unlike some restaurants with adherence to certain Buddhist traditions. I recommend that you check it out. For those of us who walk/BART/bike ride, it's an easy 20 minute walk from Fruitvale BART. Bob GotchGeorge <geo
