Guest guest
As some of you may or may not know, the wolf was recently de-listed from the Endangered Species List in the the mid-west because wolf management was handed over individually to each state. Those states came up with great management plans that would allow for the species to thrive. What is happening in the Northwest is vastly different. Idaho's own governor said he wanted to be the one to shoot the first wolf. If the powers that be see to it, the wolf will be de-listed from Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Washington, Wyoming, and parts of Utah...And they have not yet even been reintroduced to Oregon, Washington, and Utah!! This would mean that wolves that wander in " error " outside of Yellowstone's protection, could be killed (shot, poisoned, trapped, aerial gunning) on site. And you all know they are aiming expecially for pregnant females or females with pups. Basically Idaho and Montana want to take us back over 100 years and kill every single wolf on the planet that they can get away with. Their are currently around 1200 wolves in the areas occupied above. Those states want to leave less than 200, and for no good reason. There have been some, but generally very few wolf attacks on ranchers farms (Like I really care about ranchers...), however what ever losses they have had have been repaid by various organizations, the main one being DEFENDERS OF WILDLIFE. I know there are still a lot of myths out there about wolves. I've been with them close up and can tell you they are myths. These animals need our help or next year we'll be out there fighting for people to stop wearing wolf fur!! Please contact: defendersofwildlife.org and click on the tab for wolves, or contact me and I can tell you how to get involved. If you think wolves are unimportant, you may not know the whole story. Plus de-listing them in the mid-west has already opened the door for the Bush/Cheney administration to want to basically de-list ALL animals in the not too distant future. Thanks for your time.
