Looking for a great way to get the veg message out, but don't feel ready to leaflet? Then try tabling! Basically, interested people come to you for information!

Chris and I tabled at the Emeryville Earth Day last year and it was beautiful weather, held in a neighborhood park, felt very natural since our booth was on the grass (instead of the more typical asphalt), and we enjoyed great live music for most of the day. What was nice is that mostly families came by (Moms with young kids, or groups of teens) and we were definite the only group giving out vegan recipes and information about factory farming.

Thank you to Jina for organizing it this year. If you can help for a couple of hours, please email Jina with your contact info and include a phone # if possible.

Thanks in advance for your support for helping us make the Bay Area a more veg-friendly place!

Cheers,

Tammy

Who may be available next week? The event set up is around 10 to 11 am. They will provide a table and two chairs. I have materials except the chicken cage and canopy (do we need it? forecast is sunny that day). Katherine said she could come at 3pm. I have music class again around 10:30 to 12 and can be at the event at 12:30pm. I can unload the care and help set up at 10am and then can others sit until 12:30? Would anyone else be available before or after Katherine? As Tammy describes this, it is a low key neighborhood event with nice music.

When: Sunday, April 28th, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.Where: 47th Street and Temescal Creek Park, EmeryvilleMore information: (510) 596-4322

The beef industry has contributed to more American deaths than all the wars of this century, all natural disasters, and all automobile accidents combined. If beef is your idea of 'real food for real people,' you'd better live real close to a real good hospital. - Neal D. Barnard, M.D.
