Guest guest
Hi everyone, A restaurant in North Beach, Peña Pachamama, will be hosting a vegan brunch the last three Sundays in April, starting tomorrow. This is a trial run for all involved, including the vegan chef, Doug, a friend of a friend, with a chance of many more dates to follow. This is a non-vegetarian restaurant offering an entirely vegan brunch on a trial basis, so please support it! According to the chef, the food will be delectable, and it will be offered in the style of dim sum -- small plates offered to all, in turn. The food is fresh, organic, spicy, delicious and simple. It is peasant food -- of, by, and for the people -- like Grandma would make, if Grandma was vegan. Where? Peña Pachamama 1630 Powell Street (between Union and Green) (muni lines to within 3 blocks -- 12, 15, 30, 39, 41, 45, the Powell-Mason Cable Car) www.penapachamama.com When? April 15th -- April 22nd -- April 29th -- 2007 10:30 am - 1:30 pm What? VEGAN SUNDAY BRUNCH at the Peña Pachamama, prepared by Douglas Subbiondo. RSVP appreciated but not required so they can anticipate how many people to cook for: pfkdoug . I’m attaching a flyer for it, though I don’t know if the attachment will go through. Unfortunately, it doesn’t say anything about the vegan brunch on the website, but it looks great. Each small plate (fruit crumble, garlic kale mashed potatoes, quinoa empanadas, and more) costs $3-6. Bon appetit! Nora
