Guest guest
This message is for all you vegans who patronize Jamba Juice. I just read that they're 'non-dairy' drinks contain milk! Check out the full article here http://consumerist.com/consumer/jamba-juice/jamba-juices-non+dairy-blend-contains-milk-and-they-hide-their-ingredients-list-249045.php or http://tinyurl.com/23qlo8 Chris
Guest guest
Regarding: http://consumerist.com/consumer/jamba-juice/jamba-juices-non+dairy-blend-contain\ s-milk-and-they-hide-their-ingredients-list-249045.php The Consumerist article is incorrect. I have looked through that ingredients book myself, and I was stumped about what they were referring to. I had never seen a " non-dairy base. " That's because there isn't one. Here is one of the comments from below that article. ================== The Jamba Juice website lists the ingredients for their " LOWER CALORIE DAIRY BASE " : Lower Calorie Dairy Base (Contains Milk) [Water, Proprietary Dry Mix Blend (Grade A Nonfat Dried Milk, Grade A Whey, Grade A Whey Protein Concentrate, May contain 2% or less of the following: Splenda® (Sucralose), Sodium Alginate, Maltodextrin, Pectin, Carrageenan, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Hexametaphosphate), Natural Vanilla Flavor with other Natural Flavors, Annatto (color)] This is the same ingredients that were posted as their supposedly " non-dairy base. " I'm not sure this is as big of a scandal as it seems, it just looks like miscommunication. ============= FYI, Jamba's soy milk and sorbet are non-dairy ingredients, and you can always get an All-Fruit Smoothie. ______________________________\ ____ Never miss an email again!
