Multiple message delivery issue fixed

FYI on the problem from yesterday from (see below). This issue impacted SFBAVEG and many other mailing lists. If you would like to stay informed of issues impacting -groups lists (like the email below), please directly to the list as alerts of this nature are not normally posted ot SFBAVEG.

For future reference, if there are issues with SFBAVEG that prevent us from using the mailing list, you can check the SFBAVEG page on to see if an update is posted. We posted a message yesterday about this, which we have removed since it looks like everything is okay now.

 

 

 

For those who don't get messages delivered and read the archives, you'll see one message was posted 9 times :-) On the bright side, at least it was an event to help animals that got broadcast multiple times.

We sincerely apologize for the mail delivery bug that caused manygroup members to receive multiple copies of group mail. This bug wasintroduced when we were working to increase mail delivery speed (oneof our biggest user requests). We pushed a fix at midnight March 29 (Pacific time), but unfortunatelyat that point a backlog of mail was still being delivered. We'reconfident that the bug is fixed on our end— however some ISPs maystill be delivering backlogged mail to some users.
