Funny how it grey and raining at lunch today and next time I looked out the office window (at 3 pm), it was beautiful blue skies! So, we're back on for leafleting tomorrow. Below are the details.

There are billions of good reasons to promote a vegan diet, just ask our animal friends at Animal Place, a sanctuary & education center for rescued and abused farmed animals in Vacaville.

So, on behalf of animal & social justice, the environment, human health, compassion -- any of the myriad of reasons why people choose to live a life independent from using animals -- we create an opportunity to reach the public by doing outreach. In this case, leafleting.

If you can smile and hold a booklet, you can leaflet. No previous experience necessary, newcomers most welcome.

We'll be giving BART & Muni commuters at the 16th St Mission information to read on their ride home, Vegetarian Starter Kits, booklets like "Even If You Like Meat" and "Why Vegan". We're starting at 4:30 pm, and will be leafleting for 60-90 minutes to catch the heavy commuter traffic. If you can't come for the entire leafleting time, even 30 minutes is helpful.

After leafleting, based on group consensus, we'll have dinner at either Cha Ya or Herbivore, and we can discuss our experience leafleting. If you can't make the dinner, that's fine. The important activity to not miss is the leafleting!

No RSVPs necessary for leafleting - please just show up with your smile!

"This is my protest against the conduct of the world. To be a vegetarian is to disagree--to disagree with the course of things today. Starvation, world hunger, cruelty, waste, wars--we must make a statement against these things. Vegetarianism is my statement and I think it's a strong one." -- Isaac Bashevis Singer
